Each year, it costs over $100,000 to fund the HCHS Band program. Less than 35% of that comes from student fees. The rest comes from fundraising and YOU CAN HELP! Below is a list of significant sources of funding and programs along with a contact name. The participation of all band families is vital, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Colonels Brigade & Guard: everyone.

Umbrellas: These great umbrellas are only available through the HCHS Band and the look great! They can be purchased for $20, get them now before it rains...
Sales Brochure: This program begins in August and only goes for two weeks. Century Resources works with us on this endeavor, each student is expected to sell 12 items. There will be lots of individual and class-wide prizes, plus students that go over their goal can use that money to cover the spring trip! For more information contact: Bobbi Reed.
Concessions: The marching band operates one of the concession stands at all home football games. This provides the band with a significant, stable source of income. Volunteers are always needed, contact Holly Vincent for more information.
Bingo: Most months, we will work with the Children's Advocacy Center to operate bingo at the Audubon Bingo Center (across from Audubon State Park). These are either Wednesday nights or Saturday nights, usually just once per month. This is a great source of easy, stable revenue for the HC Band program and volunteers are needed. If you can help out, contact Lori Chaney, it really can be a lot of fun!
Fruit: In November & December, the band organizes the largest single fundraiser of the entire year. The fruit sale begins in mid-November and goes on for two weeks. The fruit will arrive in early December and this program can fund over 20% of our year. It's important (as with all fundraisers) that each student does their part. Hopefully each band member can sell 15 boxes. For more information, contact: Holly Vincent.
Peeler Card: In February & March, the band sells a great discount peeler card. This card has tons of great offers and we make good profit off each card. SOme of this profit can go to the individual student's accounts that will help pay for fees, trips, and lessons.
Patron Drive: In January, friends and family can become supporters of the band through this mailing.
Tri-fest: The band will operate a booth at Henderson County's largest annual event. The Tri-fest hours are Friday 11:00am - 11:00pm , Saturday 9:00am - 11:00pm , and Sunday 1:00pm - 5:00pm . HCHS Band is assigned Booth# 7 ( located between 1st Street and Washingron Street but next to the Stage Entrance where bands/ musical groups play ). We will be serving Pulled BBQ Chicken sandwiches , Pork Chop sandwiches , Chips , Coke Products , and Banana Pudding.
